We really appreciate Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje flying to Canada. It is also his first time in Alberta. After training with the team in Edmonton, GT and Agalon Herald drove 6 hours to Lethbridge, AB.
Lethbridge is a small city with under 100,000 people. It’s close to the Montana, United States border. Lethbridge and area offers plenty of summer activities. Golfing, horseback riding, live theatres, cultural festivals, and Waterton National Park is only an hour away.
Lethbridge is also the home of the Pekiti Tirsia Kali Lethbridge and Magrath Training Groups. This may be the newest PTK training group in Canada. The moment GT walked in he was welcomed by an energetic round of applause!
Even though training was only for three hours, it was intense. There were some folks that have never seen Pekiti or any forms of FMA before. Intense footwork, angular strikes, and passion is something that Grand Tuhon instilled in everyone.
Many were sore yet still happy for the opportunity to train with the Blade master.
GT took the time to shake everyone’s hand and give them words of encouragement. He signed autographs and welcomed photo ops to everyone.
The kids loved this opportunity. They really made the effort to learn and get better. Way the go Kali Kids!
As a token of appreciation Kuya Noel and myself awarded Grand Tuhon the Filipino Martial Arts in Canada the Life Time Achievement Award.
Until next time Grand Tuhon, we will train by the hours not by the years. Next time you visit you can up the intesity some more. Safe travels. From your training group in Southern Alberta. One PTK!
